SPONSORED PROJECTS
Ongoing Projects
1. Title: A study on the critical factors affecting success and failure of entrepreneursPrincipal Investigator: Dr.D.Indira
Executive Summary
Any Economy flourishes and prospers with the activity of entrepreneurs it possesses. The advanced economies such as USA, UK, Germany, Japan etc are prospering because of the vibrant entrepreneurial activity in those countries. India is a large country with 2nd largest population in the world. Vibrant, active and successful entrepreneurs are required for its long term prosperity. Right now less than 1 % of the population are entrepreneurs and in that not even 10% are successful. There are very few studies available on the factors which affect success of entrepreneurs. This research is aimed at collecting data from entrepreneurs on their practices recording their performance and assessing the factors behind their success/ failure. It is aimed at building a model for conducting successful business.
Completed Projects
As a part of this research the issues relating to Cement Industry have been analyzed. The problems and prospects with special reference to AP Cement Industry have been studied. The reason behind choosing this topic is because cement is the basic material required for construction activity. In this Endeavour many company executives, technical experts and academicians have been approached namely My Home Cements, NCB, CMA, CMIE etc.The inferences of the project are that the demand for cement depends on the performance of Agriculture sector, incomes of the rural people. Appropriate brand and marketing strategies also enhance the demand for cement at the firms level. The cement industry should try to boost up its export demand by improving its quality and cost effectiveness.
